Teaching a (City) Child to Ride a Bike

In Uncategorized on 10. July 2010 at 18:13
It’s no secret that New York parents obsess over things – typically the type of things that don’t even raise an eyebrow in most other parts of the country. Like preschool. Where else do otherwise normal adults freak out about how well their 2-year-old
will “interview” (a k a: play with blocks) in front of an admissions officer?
Well, I’ve just discovered another distinctly New York parenting “concern.” Bike riding. Yup. Whole parenting listservs throughout Manhattan and the boroughs have long strings about the best way to teach a child to ride a bike?
